The conditions of participation

To be a participant of the competition you should register your team till May 14, 2013 inclusive.

If your team has been already registered in other team competition (actions, “The Tree of Friendship”), you should just confirm the participation in the mixed media project competition in your Virtual office (link “To register for the other competitions of the project”).

To participate in the competition you should have an e-mail address.

After you fill in the registration form, the team will receive an e-mail with a request to confirm the application.  To finish the registration you should just link.

After confirmation of the application the participants receive an e-mail about their registration with login and password for participating in the competition.

The registered teams send their creative works using their Virtual office to the website of the Internet project till May 15, 2013 inclusive.

The works, which do not match the topic of the competition or the technical requirements, can be rejected by the Organization Committee.

The common requirements for the works of each topic

1. The quantity of the works from one team is not limited.
2. The works should match the topic of the competition.
3. You must not use photos of people, which violate the copyrights of third parties. You must not use author elements of existing logotypes.
4. You must not use another’s photos, videos, pictures.
5. The works can be rejected by the Organization Committee, if they do not match The Conditions of holding the international Internet-project “The Dialog of Cultures” or if they do not match the technical requirements for the works of the competition.

The requirements for the works of topic “The Garland of Recipes”

In the format of photo master class

1. The works (photos with text commentaries) should be downloaded on the web-site of the project (use your Virtual office). You should provide the information about each work: the cuisine, you’ve chosen, the name of the dish, step by step instructions of cooking the dish (each commentary not more than 600 signs).
2. The permissible size of the file for the competition work is JPEG (*.jpg) in high quality.
3. The minimum size of the narrow side of picture is 1600 pixels.
4. The permissible file size is not more than 5 MB.
5. Using of another’s photos, mounting a snapshot from fragments or adding some fragments or elements to a photo is not allowed.
6. Applying to the pictures logotypes, copyrights, signatures is not allowed.
7. Light processing of photos to make their quality better (improvement of color, adjustment the level of sharpness, est.) is allowed.

In the format of video master class

1. The works (videos) should be downloaded on the web-site of the project (use your Virtual office). You should provide the information about each work: the cuisine, you’ve chosen, the name of the dish, step by step instructions of cooking the dish (a commentary not more than 600 signs).
2. Technical requirements for the works
   1. The length of a video is not more than 5 minutes.
   2. Proportion of the image are 3:4 or 16:9
   3. The maximum video resolution is 640x480 pixels.
   4. The permissible size of the ready file is not more than 40 MB.
   5. The permissible file sixes of the works are asf, avi, divx, flv, mov, mp4, mpeg, wmv, xvid.
   6. Acceptable endecs for work:
      1. Video: mpeg-4(divx, xvid), h264, mpeg-2, mpeg-1, vp6, wmv8, wmv9.
      2. Audio: mp3, wma, aac, ogg vorbis, ac3

The requirements for the works of topic “Music – National Soul”

1. The works (audio and video files) should be downloaded on the web-site of the project (use your Virtual office). You should provide the information about each work: the name of the song and commentary, including some information about the song and explanation of your choice (each commentary not more than 600 signs).
2. Technical requirements for the works in video format
   1. The length of a video or an audio is not more than 5 minutes.
   2. Proportion of the image are 3:4 or 16:9
   3. The maximum video resolution is 640x480 pixels.
   4. The permissible size of the ready file is not more than 40 MB.
   5. The permissible file sixes of the works are asf, avi, divx, flv, mov, mp4, mpeg, wmv, xvid.
   6. Acceptable endecs for work:
      1. Video: mpeg-4(divx, xvid), h264, mpeg-2, mpeg-1, vp6, wmv8, wmv9.
      2. Audio: mp3, wma, aac, ogg vorbis, ac3
3. Technical requirements for the works in audio format
   1. The size of the file to be downloaded is the music file MP3
   2. The permissible size of a ready file is not more than 10 MB. Audio-file of such a size can be a little bit more than 5 minutes length, if you using 256kbps degree of reduction.

The requirements for the works of topic “The World on a Palm”

In the format of photo excursion

1. The works (photos with text commentaries) should be downloaded on the web-site of the project (use your Virtual office). You should provide the information about each work: a short text, explaining your choice of the places and some interesting facts about them (each commentary not more than 600 signs).
2. The permissible size of the file for the competition work is JPEG (*.jpg) in high quality.
3. The minimum size of the narrow side of picture is 1600 pixels.
4. The permissible file size is not more than 5 MB.

The participants’ works must not

• Violate the laws, honor and dignity, the rights and legitimate interests of third parties
• Incite religious, racial or ethnic hatred
• Contain scenes of violence
• Be obscene or offensive
• Contain evident or hidden advertisement of drugs
• Violate the copyrights and related rights of the third parties
• Be of pornographic nature
• Contain commercials of any kind
